The Fight to Keep University City HS Together

During the month of January, University City HIgh School students and staff worked with community stakeholders, including the University of Pennsylvania’s Netter Center for Community Partnerships, to develop a concise list of alternatives to the plan the School District proposed at the end of last year.  These recommendations have been posted on the District’s websites with proposals from other schools.  Click here to read University City High School’s proposal, and to learn more about the Facilities Master Plan that articulates the District’s recommendations, click here.

As our Stay UNI-fied team continues to meet with community stakeholders, including families and our local city and state representatives, we will be adding supporting documents to the proposal.  Please check in with us to see these very important updates!

If you’d like to join the “Stay UNI-fied” campaign, please email Mr. AJ Schiera (Social Studies Educator at UCHS) by emailing ashciera@gmail.com, or Patrice Berry (UCHS Community School Site Director, Netter Center) at patricea@sas.upenn.edu.  You can also visit us at “Join the Movement”, and leave your contact information.
